Video: The Pacific Northwest in Timelapse

We'll wrap up the week with this fantastic five minute video that takes us to the Pacific Northwest in the U.S. for some stunning timelapse images of the landscapes found there. It took two years, and more than 10,000 photos to create this stunningly beautiful clip, but it is a great reminder of just how amazing our world truly is.

Chile is one of my favorite places that I've been fortunate enough to have visited in my travels, and this video is a short, but sweet, reminder of why. Just one minute in length, it gives viewers a tour of the country, spotlighting some of its most wild and beautiful places. It is a stunningly beautiful place with some surprising diversity. Video: The Wilds of the South Pacific

When you think about the wild places on our planet, the South Pacific with its pristine beaches, crystal clear waters, and iddlic tropical settings aren't necessarily the first place that comes to mind. But that part of the world is quite remote, and there are some unique wildernesses that remain intact there. This video takes us to Western Papua, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, Kiribati, Cook Islands, Tuamotu Archipelago and Marquesas Islands in French Polynesia where we see those landscapes and meet the people that live there. This is a breathtaking part of the world that has to be seen to be believed.

Some of the stops include the Netherlands, Greece, the U.S., Canada, South Africa, and Myanmar, amongst others. It is a beautiful look at some stunning landscapes, and a sharp reminder of how amazing our planet can be.

Video: Death Valley's Super Flower Bloom

It doesn't rain often in Death Valley, but when it does, an amazing scene can unfold. Hundreds of thousands of flower seeds sit dormant under the soil in the national park, and when they receive moisture, they'll explode into an amazing bloom that is rare but spectacular. This year, that bloom happened and was caught on video. Check it out for yourself in the amazing 2+ minute clip found below.

Video: Lake Baikal in Timelapse

At 1641 meters (5383 feet) in depth, Russia's Lake Baikal is the deepest lake in the entire world. Located in southern Siberia, Baikal is remote and wild, with some amazing landscapes found along its shores. You'll see all of that in this great timelapse video, which gives us a glimpse of what this part of the world is truly like.
